Hatfield Indoor B.C. Officially Re-Opening
Significant work has been done with the most notable the quality of the new LED lighting. However,
very hard work was put into the unseen, the removal of the
old asbestos ceiling panels. The Mayor of Welwyn
Hatfield Borough, Counsellor Lynne Sparks carried out the
Opening ceremony unveiling a plague to commemorate
the Day. She was welcomed by President of the Club Richard
Lush, Chairman Roger Carter and the Project co-ordinator
Brian Burfoot. Also in attendance was an array of presidents
and representative including Matt Rayner from Hatfield
Community Sports fund and Cllr Tony Kingsbury. The work was carried out thanks to a significant grant from Hatfield Community
Sports Fund topped up by Sports England. Brian Burfoot
concluded by saying that Hatfield Bowls Club is ready
for the local community to come and enjoy the wonderful game of bowls.
